In my work, I seek a balance between softness and boldness, stillness and movement. I cherish simplicity as a form of strength, and I often let the material speak. My sculptures are not loud—but they are quietly bold.

From a young age, I was captivated by drawing and filled with an enduring curiosity about art and craft. I studied Ceramic Art at Sookmyung Women’s University in Seoul, Korea, where I developed a deep respect for the tradition, discipline, and emotional depth that clay offers.

After moving to the United States, I began a new chapter as a ceramic artist and sculptor, working from my backyard studio in Mead, Colorado. I am a member of the Boulder Potters’ Guild, where I regularly fire my work and teach classes. Being part of this vibrant community has strengthened my connection to clay and to other artists.

My work is rooted in the traditions of Korean art, inspired by the natural world, and shaped by a love for storytelling. I explore human emotion, spirit, and memory through clay. I often draw on the textures and forms of nature, as well as the subtle expressions of the human face and figure.

I work slowly and thoughtfully, allowing the material to guide me. Whether functional or sculptural, each piece is an intimate conversation between my hands and the clay. I hope to create work that invites quiet connection, something that can be felt more than explained.

Through my art, I want to share a sense of wonder, simplicity, and warmth. I hope to connect with others in a way that goes beyond words.
